The district stage of the Tank Biathlon competition has ended in the Leningrad region

The best tank crews of military units of the Western Military District competed in professional skills as part of the district stage of the Tank Biathlon competition in the Leningrad region.

During the competition, the servicemen demonstrated the skills of high-speed overcoming of the track in the individual race and relay. Overcoming the route was complicated by a large number of natural and artificial obstacles in the form of anti-tank ditches, trenches and mine-explosive barriers.

Tank commanders and gunners-operators competed in the accuracy of shooting from the spot and in moving on targets, imitating tanks, infantry with a hand-held anti-tank grenade launcher and low-flying helicopters at a distance of 900 to 2200 meters.

According to the results of the competition, the first place was taken by the crew of the guards tank army, the second place was awarded to the crew of the Baltic Fleet, the third place was awarded to the crew of the combined arms army of the Western Military District, stationed in the Leningrad region.

The best crew will represent the Western Military District at the next stage of the competition, which will be held at the Alabino training ground in the Moscow region.
