TxDOT to Temporarily Close Lanes on Park Road 22

CORPUS CHRISTI, TX - A Texas Department of Transportation contractor is scheduled to seal coat the southern section of Park Road 22 beginning at about noon Wednesday.

While the project will seal coat both lanes in both directions from Whitecap Boulevard to the Kleberg County line, one travel lane in each direction will always remain open. This fast-moving operation is expected to be completed in a couple of hours. All work is weather permitting.

Seal coating applies a thin coat of asphalt and aggregate to the road to preserve and prolong the life of the road surface and increase skid resistance.

Motorists should expect various lane closures and possible delays. Please drive with caution near the work convoy, obey all road signs, and avoid distractions.
