Prime Minister Kallas to attend high-level Holocaust memorial conference in Malmö

Prime Minister Kallas will be joined in this discussion by President Egils Levits of Latvia, President Gitanas Nausėda of Lithuania, President Klaus Iohannis of Romania and Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal of Ukraine.

The forum will be attended by representatives of the private sector and international organisations as well as heads of state and government from around the world, including European Commission president Ursula von der Leyen, European Council president Charles Michel and President Isaac Herzog of Israel. The participants will be discussing how to combat antisemitism and other forms of racism in the real world and online and how to support Holocaust remembrance through the education system so as to ensure that it is never repeated. The conference, which was originally scheduled to take place in 2020, marks 75 years since the liberation of the Auschwitz concentration camp and the end of World War II.

While at the forum, Prime Minister Kallas will be meeting with her Ukrainian counterpart Denys Shmyhal to discuss cooperation between their countries and support for the implementation of reforms in Ukraine.

The forum will be livestreamed on the YouTube channel of the Government Offices of Sweden.
