UC Health 2019 In Retrospect

2019 In Retrospect Editor's Note: Unfortunately, right as 2019 In Retrospect was preparing for its public launch in March 2020, the COVID-19 global pandemic upended the lives of our patients, families, employees and our community. Then, we watched in horror as George Floyd was murdered, reminding us all that racism is still very much alive in our world.

With so much angst and uncertainty, our timeless purpose remains as poignant as ever: we advance healing and reduce suffering. This commitment to a better world extends beyond the walls of our healthcare facilities. In the coming days, weeks and months, we will amplify our commitment to our Community Health priorities, leading the way to make a true impact on racial and ethnic health disparities in our local neighborhoods. At UC Health, we stand against racism. We stand for each other. I believe, with your help, we will do better, we will be better. We must.

Thank you for your ongoing support.

At UC Health, we advance healing and reduce suffering in our community by providing world-class care delivered with compassion.
Each year, our annual report highlights some of our notable achievements; spotlights our innovative physicians and teams who are at the forefront of academic medicine; and shares inspirational patient stories exemplifying how we can be a source of hope for all people, including those with the most complex and critical health challenges.
