Jacqueline Amison Selected as the October Beacon of Light at Firelands

(Sandusky, Ohio) Firelands Health is pleased to announce that Jacqueline Amison, environmental services supervisor, has been selected as the October Beacon of Light Award winner.

The Firelands Beacon of Light is a program developed to recognize team members who exemplify and exhibit the values of Firelands Regional Health System in the form of exceptional attitude, commitment and enthusiasm (ACE). The award goes to individuals who ACE it every day for patients and coworkers.

Jacqueline's nomination exemplifies this dedication. "When you leave Jackie's presence, you actually feel like she shined a light on you. She is kind, caring and puts her colleagues first. There is nothing she won't do to help her staff or someone in another department," the nomination read. "Jackie is always smiling and her actions speak just as loud as her words. Her goal is to be a team player and help others before herself. Her energy is contagious!"

Outside of work, Jackie enjoys traveling, especially to New Orleans, excursions with her sisters, spending time with her great-grandson, and helping at her brother's church. Jackie has been an employee at Firelands for 21 years. She resides in Sandusky.
