Immersing Guests in Adventure and Fantasy

Guests at Disneyland Paris can live their dreams. They can experience the thrill of a child's first encounter with Mickey Mouse or Snow White. They can visit worlds of adventure and fantasy. They can immerse themselves in the music and spectacle of a live parade or show. In one way or another, the Disney magic touches everyone who visits.

That magic is built into every corner of Disneyland by 'Imagineers' - Disney innovators working in more than one hundred and forty design, engineering and related fields. They are the storytellers behind Disneyland Paris, bringing fantastic worlds, beloved characters and extraordinary experiences to life for guests of the Resort.

Since 2002, Disneyland Paris has featured two different theme park experiences. Disneyland Park is a European interpretation of the 'classic' Disney theme park design which originated more than fifty years ago in California. At Walt Disney Studios Park, cinema, animation and television come to life and guests can step into the action themselves.

Disneyland Park

Lavishly landscaped and intricately detailed, Disneyland Park is a 51-hectare magical kingdom filled with fantasy, imagination and adventure in five distinctly themed Lands. Park guests can find something for everyone: forty attractions, a tempting variety of themed shops and restaurants, live entertainment and encounters with the famous Disney characters.

As conceived by Walt Disney, when he imagined the original Disneyland in California more than fifty years ago, Disneyland Park brings characters and stories from history, literature and movies to life in a collection of three-dimensional real-world settings. The Disney theme parks were 'virtual reality' before there was virtual reality and its real world settings include …

Main Street,U.S.A.

Here, in a recreation of turn-of-the-20th-century America, is a thoroughfare leading to all the adventures of Disneyland Park. At Town Square, Main Street Station is the boarding point for Disneyland Railroad, which encircles Disneyland Park and makes stops in Frontierland, Fantasyland and Discoveryland.

Catch a nostalgic ride to and from Town Square aboard a vintage vehicle. Board a classic Mercer, Paddy Wagon, Omnibus, Fire Engine or Limousine and sit back as you are ushered from one end of Main Street, U.S.A. to the other - or stroll along on foot, browsing the menus of the restaurants or the offerings of the many shops and boutiques. Gentlemen - or indeed ladies - might even get a haircut at Dapper Dan's Hair Cuts.

Guests may also choose to explore the two enclosed arcades, located directly behind the shops and restaurants on either side of Main Street, U.S.A. Liberty Arcade, on the west side leading toward Frontierland, is a salute to the Statue of Liberty and the close links between France and the U.S.A. It celebrates the design and unveiling of French sculptor Frederic Auguste Bartholdi's most famous work. Discovery Arcade, on the east side of Main Street leading to Discoveryland, displays inventions of the 19th century in a tribute to the kind of ingenuity celebrated in fiction by Jules Verne and H.G. Wells.

Meet some of your favourite Disney characters down Main Street, U.S.A including Winnie the Pooh and friends as well as Pluto.

Every day is parade day* in Disneyland Park. You can discover eight fabulous universes making Main Street U.S.A. the liveliest place in the land. Twinkling with colourful costumes and magical music, Disney's Stars on Parade is your chance to see Disney stories brought to life like never before.

A walk toward Sleeping Beauty Castle at the far end of Main Street, U.S.A., takes guests to the Central Plaza of Disneyland Park, where they'll find the entrances to each of the Park's themed Lands.

Gazed in wonder at Park closing when Sleeping Beauty Castle illuminates for the night-time spectacular Disney Illuminations. As if by magic, the parapets and turrets of Sleeping Beauty Castle appear to move as mind-blowing special effects bring the wonder of Disney to life before your very eyes. Flames and water work in perfect harmony to wow your senses with unexpected excellence. Lasers slice through the mesmerising mist. And all this time, Mickey is having a blast, leading you on a journey through impressive projections of famous Disney tales, old and new.

*Please note, because of unforeseen circumstances, such as adverse weather conditions or important maintenance work, changes to opening times, attraction closures and parade cancellations are subject to occur without prior notice.
