Overnight ramp and lane closures on NB I-435 near Raytown Road, April 23-24…

JACKSON COUNTY - Crews will make the following lane and ramp closures for striping work ahead of the new traffic configuration needed for the bridge rehabilitation project on the twin bridges on I-435 over Raytown Road. The following closures will be short in duration.

Beginning at approximately 9 p.m. on Tuesday, April 23 until 6 a.m. on April 24

  • The ramp from Eastwood Trafficway to NB I-435 will be CLOSED.
  • The ramp from NB I-435 to Raytown Road will be CLOSED.
  • The ramp from NB I-435 to Stadium Drive will be CLOSED.
  • There will be lane closures on NB I-435 between Eastwood Trafficway and Raytown Road.

*This will not be a complete closure of NB I-435, left lane will remain open.

This work will not impact access to SB I-435 from Stadium Drive/Raytown Road. Motorists traveling from Kauffman Stadium after the game on April 23 will need to be vigilant of work in the area.

In the coming months, motorists may notice traffic impacts on SB I-435 near the I-70 interchange and the NB I-435 traffic just north of Sni-A-Bar Rd as crews work to rehab the twin bridges. All work is weather permitting.

Motorists are reminded to slow down and pay attention while driving in work zones. Not all work zones look alike. Work zones can be moving operations, such as striping, patching or mowing. They can also be short term, temporary lane closures to make quick repairs or remove debris from the roadway.
