Panthers Tied for 5th at Twin Oaks Intercollegiate

SPRINGFIELD, Missouri - The University of Northern Iowa men's golf team wrapped up the first day of the Twin Oaks Intercollegiate tournament on Monday.

The Panthers are tied for fifth with round scores of 296 and 291 for a total of 587 (+19) after two rounds were completed in the second annual tournament host by Missouri State University.

Senior is tied for ninth in the tournament through two rounds at the tournament. He has a first-round score of 74 and followed that up with a career-low round of even par 71 in the second. Spengler is at +3 for the tournament. Spengler recorded five birdies in the two rounds.

Coming in tied for ninth also, was junior who had a first-round score of 71 and 74 in the second round, totaling 145 (+3) as well. He had seven birdies with four coming in the second round.
Tied for 25th is senior . He scored 75 in the first round and 73 in the second round, totaling 148 (+6) for the day. He had one birdie in the first round and two in the second.

Close behind is redshirt sophomore who is tied for 35th with scores of 76 and 74, with a total of 150 (+8) for the first day of the tournament. Lamb had three birdies and 24 pars in two rounds.
Sophomore is tied for 38th. He has a round one score of 78 and a second round score of 73, totaling for 151 (+9). He four birdies, including three in round two.

Junior is tied for 53rd individually. He had scores of 80 and 74 for a total of 154 (+12). He had one eagle and five birdies including four in the second round.

Also golfing individually is freshman , coming in tied for 59th for the Panthers. He posted a first-round score of 78 and a second-round score of 81, totaling 159 (+17).

The Panthers will continue the Twin Oaks Intercollegiate tournament tomorrow at the Twin Oaks Country Club in Springfield, Missouri.

Missouri State is leading the field through the first two rounds with scores of 288-287, totaling 575 (+7). Ethan Brue of Bradley is leading the tournament with scores of 69-68, totaling 137 (-5).
