MP for Aljunied GRC

Question No. 2231

To ask the Minister for Health in view of the short-term outcome indicators published in the White Paper on Healthier SG, what are the Ministry's targets within the next three years for (i) resident enrolment rate (ii) proportion of general practitioner clinics offering enrolment (iii) screening rates for chronic diseases and cancer (iv) proportion of diabetes mellitus patients with appropriate screening done and (v) proportion of residents who are actively using the Health 365 app.

Written Answer

We are setting targets under Healthier SG to ensure that the short-, medium-, and long-term outcomes can be achieved. They need to be done in the right spirit, bearing in mind that this is an act of enterprise, and a dynamic and multi-year transformation effort with a certain amount of uncertainty. Right now, we are focusing on designing the scheme right, rolling it out, and stabilising operations. We will then monitor the key performance indicators and disclose them to the public from time to time.
