CBCG Governor Meets the Chairman of the Board of Directors and the CEO of OTP Bank

"Crnogorska Komercijalna Banka (CKB) operates sound, and it is highly liquid and with adequate capitalisation." It was assessed at today's meeting between the Governor of the Central Bank of Montenegro (CBCG), Dr Radoje Žugić, and the Chairman of the BoD and the CEO of OTP Bank, Dr Sándor Csányi. Tamás Kamarási, the President of the CKB Management Board, also attended the meeting.

The recent abuse of the official position in CKB did not have material consequences for its operations owing to the positive result from 2021, sufficient to amortise all the adverse effects of the mentioned case without reducing the capital.

Mr Csányi pointed out that CKB is completing the process of compensating all clients whose property was the subject of abuse.

The Governor expressed the expectation that the CKB management will respond extremely responsibly to the recently announced supervisory measure, which aims to eliminate the identified irregularities and improve the bank's operations security and stability.

The counterparties agreed to continue intensive communication, through which the CKB management will inform the supervisor about the actions taken to eliminate identified irregularities.
