Today, MTA aircraft will deliver the personnel and equipment of the airborne troops units that have completed tasks as part of the CSTO collective peacekeeping forces to the Chkalovsky airfield in the Moscow region.

Upon the arrival of the units at the airfield, their solemn meeting will be organized with the participation of the command of the Airborne Troops.

At the end of the solemn ceremony, the personnel will begin to unload weapons, military equipment, property and march to the point of permanent deployment.

Earlier, units of Russian paratroopers from the collective peacekeeping forces of the CSTO, who completed the tasks of protecting socially significant objects in the Republic of Kazakhstan, carried out a flight by military transport aircraft of the Russian Aerospace Forces from the Almaty airfield to the Ivanovo-Severny airfields (Ivanovo region) and Chkalovsky (Moscow region) and returned home.

On January 14 of this year, after loading equipment and personnel, peacekeeping contingents from Armenia, Belarus and Tajikistan returned to their homeland on Il-76 military transport aircraft of the Russian Aerospace Forces. The unit of peacekeepers of the Republic of Kyrgyzstan returned to the point of permanent deployment, having made a march on regular equipment on their own.

The return of the peacekeepers is scheduled to be completed by January 19.
