Free access to the online performances of the International Theatre Festival from Sibiu for the Romanian and Allied military personnel

1,000 subscriptions will be offered for free to the Romanian and Allied military personnel belonging to the bases where Allied troops deployed to Romania to all online performances, both in Romanian and English languages, organized within the 29th edition of the International Theatre Festival from Sibiu (FITS 2022), which takes place over 24 June - 3 July.

The subscriptions were provided based on a cooperation protocol signed between the Ministry of Defence, Ministry of Culture and the management team of FITS 2022.

The subscriptions will be distributed to the military bases where the 5,000 Allied soldiers (American, Belgian, British, French, Italian, Portuguese and Polish) are deployed as part of the NATO Response Force missions, enhanced Air Policing Missions, enhanced Vigilance Activities as well as by the NATO Headquarters from Craiova, Bucharest and Sibiu.

The online subscriptions, offered by the FITS 2022 organizers as a sign of respect for the soldiers and their missions, will be used on the festival online page- https://sibfest.ro and will be valid throughout the entire festival. The performances are available once at 24 hours, and the watching code of the performance will be valid for four hours after the accession of each performance.

At the same time, the MoND personnel who wished to attend the festival at Sibiu had the opportunity to buy two tickets for the price of one for a certain selection of performances.

Also, five performances of the festival will be played within "Nicolae Bălcescu" Land Forces' Academy Headquarters from Sibiu.

The International Theatre Festival from Sibiu (FITS) is the first notable festival organized in Central and Eastern Europe, one of the greatest festivals of the world and the most important event dedicated to the performance arts from Romania. The festival is an annual opportunity to celebrate, consisting in exceptional performances played by the invited countries such as: Great Britain, Germany, France, USA, Israel, Japan, Austria, Switzerland, Italy, China, Spain and the Republic of Moldova.

FITS is organized under the High Patronage of the Romanian Presidency and the High Patronage of the President of Germany, with the support of Sibiu Municipality City Hall, Local Council of Sibiu, the Romanian Government, the Ministry of Culture, Ministry of Education and the Romanian Cultural Institute. This event brings together well-known world artists by offering the public the possibility of enjoying some of the most appreciated and internationally recognized performances of the world, which have been rewarded with prestigious distinctions.
