The duty air defense forces of the Black Sea Fleet (BSF) conducted an exercise to cover the ship basing point from a massive missile air strike of a mock enemy.
The training was carried out in accordance with the combat training plan of the Black Sea Fleet on ships on air defense alert duty.
According to the plan of the exercise, the control center of the Black Sea Fleet received intelligence on the takeoff of a group of mock enemy aircraft in the direction of the Crimean Peninsula.
The air defense systems on duty ships of the Black Sea Fleet were put on alert, and a signal was sent to the naval forces of the fleet about the approach of a mock enemy air group.
During the training, the air defense crews of the ships at the basing points escorted and destroyed the air targets of the mock enemy with anti-aircraft missile weapons designed for air defense of ships from all means of air attack.
The targets were electronically imitated by the ship's weapons control systems and conditionally destroyed before the aircraft entered the combat course.
This exercise is conducted regularly in cooperation with the territorial control center of the Black Sea Fleet headquarters.
