The City of Grande Prairie reminds visitors to take proactive steps to secure their belongings when participating at City facilities.

Follow the tips below to help protect your possessions:

  • Bring and use your own lock on the provided lockers.
  • Avoid bringing items of value into the facility wherever possible and lock up anything valuable that is brought into the building.
  • Be aware of your surroundings and report any suspicious activity to a staff member.
  • Avoid leaving personal items unattended, even for a brief period.

"Ensuring a safe and secure environment for all visitors is one of our top priorities and an ongoing commitment at the City," said Angela Redding, Community Knowledge Campus Director. "Taking precautions to secure your belongings by following these tips allows each of us contribute towards keeping City facilities welcoming and enjoyable for everyone."

Lockers are available for public use at the Eastlink Centre, Design Works Centre, Activity & Reception Centre and Aquatera Outdoor Pool. The Eastlink Centre is the only facility with locks available for purchase, either $9 for a combination lock or $12 for a key lock.

Visitors are thanked for their cooperation to keep City facilities safe for patrons and staff.
