Congressman Cohen Announces Nearly $1 Million Nursing Education Grant to UTHSC

WASHINGTON - Congressman Steve Cohen (TN-09) today announced that the University of Tennessee Health Science Center (UTHSC) will receive a grant of $999,861 for nursing education, practice, quality and retention from the Department of Health and Human Services' Office of U.S. Health Resources and Services.

Congressman Cohen made the following statement:

This significant investment in nursing education and workforce development will increase the number of nurses, elevate the quality of our nurses and ultimately improve the care they provide to patients."
