City of Livonia Engineering Division wants your comments

The City of Livonia is soliciting comments on a project involving the Michigan Department of Transportation Context Sensitive Solutions for Multi-Use Non-Motorized Facility (MUNMF) in MDOT Right-of-Way. The project is an ADA Accessible Route between the Costco Warehouse parking lot located at 20000 Haggerty Road and the southbound I-275 Metro Trail located near mile marker 167. (south of Eight Mile Road)

The work within MDOT Right-of-Way includes the construction of a 26-foot wide by 60 foot long concrete pad installed adjacent and connected flush with the trail, providing access to the trail. This pad includes a 5-bike rack and a monument sign. A 10-foot-wide concrete ADA compliant sidewalk connects the existing trail to the parking lot and an ADA complaint van accessible parking space and a five foot wide path to six additional parking spaces, two of which are ADA compliant accessible parking.

Plans are available on the Engineering webpage.

Alternative formats, such as print, large type and language translation, are available upon request. The plans area available for review at the City of Livonia Engineering Department located at 12973 Farmington Road.

Comments will be accepted until May 31, 2024. Comments can only be provided by emailing Assistant City Engineer David Lear at [email protected].
