Origin Energy Electricity Limited granted gas retailer authorisation

On 12 May 2021, the Australian Energy Regulator (AER) approved a gas retailer authorisation application from Origin Energy Electricity Limited (OEEL) under the National Energy Retail Law (Retail Law). OEEL is now authorised to retail gas as and when the Retail Law is adopted in each participating jurisdiction.

The AER sought submissions from interested stakeholders. Consultation on the application closed on Thursday 14 January 2021. No submissions were received.
