Community Input Sought on Specific Area Plan Being Developed for Southwest Nampa

The City of Nampa seeks community input as the Planning and Zoning Department develops a Specific Area Plan for the recently expanded area of impact into Southwest Nampa. The area of impact is a provision in Idaho State code that gives cities the authority to outline how they intend to grow in the future. This planning effort aims to determine the highest and best use of the land, provide for, and encourage connectivity for people walking and biking, and deliver clear guidance to community members, city staff, and decision-makers on how we can anticipate this area to develop. City staff invites you to learn more about the specific area planning process, see draft plans for the area, and provide feedback on the proposals at the upcoming public open house on Wednesday, May 15, 2024, from 4:30 - 6:30 p.m. at Lone Star Middle School (11055 Lone Star Rd. Nampa, ID 83651).
