Kris Boyd and Rory McKenzie visit Ayrshire Hospice

Kris Boyd and Rory McKenzie brought a little bit of festive cheer to patients and staff at Ayrshire Hospice this week.

The visit helped strengthen the bond between Kilmarnock Football Club and the Hospice following our squad's appearance on the organisation's 2018 Christmas CD with our version of Slade's Merry Christmas Everybody.

While both players discussed football with the patients, Kris was asked about the work of his own charity while Rory received some advice on his law studies from a former lawyer. Our club captain and long-serving midfielder also signed a range of memorabilia as well as handing out Kilmarnock FC-branded Toblerone bars.

It's the latest in our series of festive community engagement events which has seen the Kilmarnock Community Sports Trust hold a Festive Friends Christmas meal, our squad's contribution to Saturday's Bring A Gift Appeal for local children while our annual visit to Crosshouse Hospital's Children's ward is set to follow later this week.

You can buy the Ayrshire Hospice's Christmas CD in The Killie Shop, priced £10 with all the proceeds going directly to the organisation.
