How would you react if you saw a bat flying overhead? Bats are mysterious creatures, and they can seem a bit frightening. This weekend, the Fargo Public Library will host a bat-themed event for kids on Saturday, April 20, at 10 a.m. at the Dr. James Carlson Library. Presenter Sam Devick, a North Dakota 4-H Pollinator Habitat Ambassador, will take youngsters on a "blind date" with a bat and share interesting facts about bats and the ways that they help our environment. A bat-related activity will follow the presentation. This event is geared for kids in grades K-5, but all ages are welcome to attend this free event, and no registration is required. For more details, contact the Children's Services Department at 701.241.1495.

Fargo Public Library events are free and open to the public. Children ages 9 and younger must be accompanied by an adult.
