CER Emergency Response: Rupture on NOVA Gas Transmission Ltd. Grande Prairie Mainline

Our emergency response phase to the NGTL pipeline rupture near Edson, AB is over. We have stood down our Emergency Operations Centre. The company reported that there were no injuries or impacts to landowners or Indigenous communities.

We will continue to work with TC Energy until the pipeline has safely returned to service.

We will also support the Transportation Safety Board to understand what caused the incident to prevent it from happening again. Safety and protecting people and the environment are always our top priorities.
