Civil Engineer Bruna Paranhos has been named the American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC) New York Young Professional of the Year. The award strives to promote the accomplishments of engineers by showcasing their contributions and impacts on society. With a focus on coastal resilience and sustainability, Bruna has been a part of many exciting and groundbreaking projects at Jacobs and her work is shaping the industry's response to climate change, energy transition, and decarbonization.

Senior Associate Director Andrew (Andy) Hejdner has become a fellow of the Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE). Fellowship is the highest grade of membership and provides recognition for those who have made outstanding contributions to civil engineering and society.

Liz Henderson, Keenan Raby and Cam Williams from our Critical Mission Solutions team are recipients of the AFCEA 40 Under 40 Award. This prestigious recognition highlights individuals under 40 years of age for their contributions in science, technology, engineering or mathematics fields by providing thought leadership, innovation and support to their clients and organizations.

As part of Engineering Week 2022, Project Engineer William Fishburn received the Hugh Coughlin Young Engineer Award from the Louisiana Engineering Society Baton Rouge Branch. The members that received this award were nominated by their chapter for state-wide recognition.

Structural Engineer Corey Wirkman was recognized as 2022 Young Engineer of the Year Texas Society of Professional Engineers Dallas Chapter. The TSPE Dallas Chapter is entirely devoted to the professional, ethical, economic, social and political aspects of engineering in Texas.

Water Resources Strategy Consultant Brittany Coff was recognized as Young Professional Engineer of the year 2021 by Engineers Australia. The Excellence Awards seek to reward outstanding achievement and eminence in the practice of engineering, and standout service to the profession. Brittany was nominated by Director of Transport Operations Michael Scott for her contribution to her clients and the communities she works with.

In Las Vegas, Program Manager Katherine Martin was appointed as Chair for the US Technical Advisory Group to ISO Technical Committee (TC) 267 (Facility Management) and Convenor for the international Work Group developing the new ISO standard 41019: The Role of Facility Management (FM) in Sustainability and Resilience. She was one of the founding members of TC 267 and a co-author for ISO 41012: Developing FM Sourcing Strategies, and ISO 41001: FM Management System Standard.

June Saunders, Senior Stakeholder Engagement and Communications professional, received The Jack Petchey Foundation Leader Award. This was awarded to June as a Guirlguiding leader who inspired and supported young girls aged between 7-18 years old during the COVID-19 lockdown with activities, Zoom meetings and support. She also went the extra mile and delivered badges and wrote personal letters to all the group members.

Principal Geotechnical Engineer and Regional Group Leader Charles Winter has joined the Rotary Club of Milwaukee as a new member. Charles was recognized for developing innovative methods to optimize foundations when designing highway bridges, commercial high-rises, industrial facilities, tunnels, retaining structures, engineered slopes and more.

Waterbury, Connecticut, Chief Operator Greg Quink was honored at the New England Water Environment Association's Annual Awards Ceremony and Luncheon with the 2021 Operator Award for Connecticut. He was recognized for showing a high interest and performance in wastewater operations. Greg supports the Waterbury Wastewater Treatment Facility, which is operated and maintained by Jacobs.

Mechanical Engineer Jen Hafington was named one of Engineered Systems Magazine's 20 to Watch: Women in HVAC contest winners.In an interview with Engineered Systems, Jen shares, "I'm really fortunate that I've been able to work with a lot of women engineers in my career. But, it's definitely still a male-dominated field, especially as you get on-site. I think we just need to encourage more women to pursue their love of all STEM subjects and be available to mentor them as they enter the field."

Client Service Leader Pat White was made a fellow of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE). ASCE fellows have made celebrated contributions and developed creative solutions that change lives around the world. It's a prestigious honor held by only four percent of ASCE's overall professional membership.

Technical Manager and Chief Technologist (Structural Integrity) John Sharples received the Donald Julius Groen Prize, awarded annually by the Institution of Mechanical Engineers Pressure Systems Group for outstanding papers, achievements and contributions in the sphere of pressure vessels and pressure equipment.

For the 12th year in a row, the City of Dunwoody, Georgia, earned the Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting by the Government Finance Officers Association. The award is the highest form of recognition in governmental accounting and financial reporting and represents a significant accomplishment by a government and its management. Eleven Jacobs staff operate the finance department and administrative services for the city.
