About the application
Export approval for the New South Wales Ocean Trap and Line Fishery expires on 2 July 2021. In April 2021, the Department of Agriculture, Water, and the Environment received an application 'Assessment of the Ocean Trap and Line Fishery' from the New South Wales Department of Primary Industries. The application has been prepared to address the Australian Government 'Guidelines for the ecologically sustainable management of fisheries - 2nd edition'. The application will be used to assess the operation of the fishery for the purposes of Parts 13 and 13A of the Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Act 1999 ( Act).
