AER opens consultation and public forum on AEMO’s proposed pricing methodology

On 19 April 2021, the Australian Energy Market Operator () submitted its proposed pricing methodology to the Australian Energy Regulator (AER). The proposal sets out how AEMO, as part of its functions, proposes to set transmission charges in Victoria over the five-year regulatory control period from 1 July 2022 to 30 June 2027.

We have published an issues paper highlighting some of the key elements of the proposal, to assist stakeholder consultation on AEMO's proposed pricing methodology. We are also holding an online public forum to allow the opportunity to ask questions about AEMO's proposal and our issues paper before submissions close on 27 July 2021.
