PolarCool: Top German hockey club Adler Mannheim renew their PolarCap® agreement

The Deutsche Eishockey Liga (DEL) team Adler Mannheim has successfully used PolarCap® during the last three seasons to treat players suffering concussion. Due to their positive experiences of the players and medical staff the club has chosen to renew its PolarCap® System agreement until 2024.

PolarCool AB (publ) is a medical device company that develops, markets, and sells products for sports medicine to teams, organizations and athletes. The company focuses on the treatment of concussive and sub-concussive brain injury with the portable cooling device PolarCap® System. PolarCools primary customers are sports clubs and organizations in ice hockey, rugby and handball, as well as other sports which experience an increased risk of concussion. PolarCool has recently landed several strategic agreements in France and the United Kingdom, and the agreement with Adler Mannheim is of importance for future expansion in Germany.

Adler Mannheim are a professional ice hockey team who play in the Deutsche Eishockey Liga (DEL), the highest-level ice hockey league in Germany.

Adler Mannheim's sports director Jan-Axel Alavaara comments:

-Together with our team doctor, neurologist Oliver Lanczik, we have evaluated the use of PolarCap®. We are very pleased and agree to continue the collaboration with PolarCool. We as a club will also recommend representatives of our league DEL to work for a league solution where PolarCap® is made available in all DEL arenas for the safety of all players.

As one of the big clubs in German ice hockey, they are front runner in many areas and we hope that they will be the same in this regard.
