UMass Amherst faculty members, staff and students who identify as a woman of color are invited to participate in a research study to better understand how women of color in higher education engage in self-care and wellness practices and how that might impact their antiracist advocacy actions.<_o3a_p>

The research study and online survey are being conducted by Jonique Childs, assistant professor of school counselor education in the College of Education, and Cheryl Swanier, senior teaching faculty in the Manning College of Information and Computer Sciences, and has been approved by the Institutional Review Board and is part of a current fellowship with Building Academic Leaders.<_o3a_p>

The first part of the survey provides information about the study and authorization consent form. Once the consent form is submitted, participants will be presented with survey questions that will take approximately 15 minutes to answer.<_o3a_p>

Results of this study are planned to be published in scientific journals and no personal identifiable information will be published.<_o3a_p>
