MIA Administration for Kirov region finalized investigation of cheated investors criminal case

'The Investigative Office of the Investigative Administration of the MIA Administration for the Kirov region completed the investigation of a criminal case charging a developer company director of abusing his powers,' informed the Russian MIA official representative Irina Volk.

The policemen investigated that the company was the developer for a block of flats in Kirov. In total, construction co-investors paid 283 million rubles. But the funds transmitted to the company accounts were received by the director and, in the investigators' opinion, were applied for goals other than the construction.

The construction of the block of flats should was to be completed in the second quarter of 2015. But as of now, the block of flats is still not commissioned. The investigators revealed that actually the company kept double accounting records, while construction works were performed by individuals with no contract relations with the company.

'According to the legal construction and technical expert study, 157 million 611 thousand rubles were used to construct the block of flats. Thus, the investigators of the Investigative Administration of the MIA Administration for the Kirov Region established a fact of misappropriation of the co-investors' funds.

Based on the investigation results, the developer company director was charged with the offence under part 2 Article 201 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation,' said the MIA official representative Irina Volk.
