Filing Period Now Open for Flower Mound's May Election

The Town of Flower Mound is now accepting applications for Places 1 and 3 on the May 7 general election ballot. To qualify for a seat on Council, candidates must meet the following criteria:

• Be a qualified/registered voter of the Town
• Be 21 years of age or older on the first day of the term to be filled at the election or on the date of appointment
• Have been a resident of the town for at least one year prior to election date
• Shall hold no other public office except that of a Notary Public or a member of the National Guard, military reserve, or Coast Guard reserve
