Nippon Paint Holdings Co., Ltd. (hereinafter, 'we') has been selected as a constituent of the MSCI Japan Empowering Women Index (WIN) for the second consecutive year.

The MSCI Japan Empowering Women Index (WIN), which is part of the U.S.-based MSCI Inc.'s environmental, social and governance (ESG) indexes, selects Japanese companies excelling in gender diversity from among the constituents of the MSCI Japan IMI Top 700 Index. Our selection is in recognition of our initiatives since 2020 for actively promoting women to managerial positions, including directors and corporate officers.

As a material issue in pursuit of ESG-driven management, we have upheld Diversity & Inclusion, which entails positively accepting diverse values and respecting the diversity of everyone involved in business operations. In our efforts within Japan toward encouraging women's active participation in the workplace, we introduced the Career Driving Program, where employees consider their autonomous career development and then their superiors as well as the company appreciate and support this endeavor. In addition, in promoting work environment reforms, we adopted systems, such as one that allows paid leave to be taken by the hour, thereby continuously evolving our supportive structure for employees to reconcile family life with work.

We continue to be committed to developing into a company where people with many distinctive qualities can demonstrate such qualities and perform more active roles regardless of gender, age, nationality or other attributes.
