Manchin Announces $669k For Wastewater Infrastructure Upgrades In Braxton County

Washington, DC - Today, U.S. Senator Joe Manchin (D-WV), member of the Senate Appropriations Committee, announced $669,000 from the U.S Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) for the Town of Burnsville to support essential upgrades and repairs to their sanitary sewer system. This federal award is one of the Congressionally Directed Spending (CDS) requests Senator Manchin secured on behalf of West Virginia through the Fiscal Year 2022 funding bill.

"I'm pleased the EPA is investing $669K to support critical upgrades to Burnsville's wastewater infrastructure," said Senator Manchin. "This project will address the town's inflow and infiltration problems by replacing outdated pipes, and I look forward to seeing the positive impacts of the project.
