USAID sponsors Vietnamese businesses to reduce greenhouse gas emissions

In June 28, in Ho Chi Minh City, the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) in collaboration with the Department of Business Development, the Ministry of Planning and Investment organized a training course "Overview of requirements for mitigation of greenhouse gas emissions and carbon mechanism: Challenges and initial solutions for businesses".

This is an activity within the framework of the Vietnam Private Sector Competitiveness Enhancement Project (USAID IPSC) funded by USAID.

The project has a budget of 36 million USD to be implemented from 2021 to 2025, including 4 components: Strengthening governance, management and strategic capacity of growing enterprises; Improve productivity and business efficiency through promoting innovation and increasing technology application; Improving the business environment, creating favorable conditions for businesses and the economy to develop in an inclusive manner; Promote business-to-business and industry linkages.

The project aims to provide technical and financial support to 5,000 growing small businesses, helping them improve their productivity; supporting 240 growing small businesses to successfully enter regional and international markets; 60 pioneering businesses received comprehensive and specialized support packages to create products with added value and Vietnamese wisdom, positioning the product brand "Made by Vietnam".
