FBI Media Alert: Arson Fires in Naschitti, New Mexico, Under Investigation

UPDATE-The FBI is offering a reward of up to $1,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for a series of fires that damaged several buildings in Naschitti, New Mexico, on the Navajo Nation, this week. Anyone with information is asked to call the FBI at (505) 889-1300 or online at tips.fbi.gov.

Law enforcement is asking for the public's help in finding the person or persons responsible for a series of fires that damaged several buildings in Naschitti, New Mexico, on the Navajo Nation, this week. There were no injuries.

The fires, which occurred from August 19 to 21, damaged a church, a convenience store, and three vacant houses.

The FBI, Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, the Navajo Nation Division of Public Safety, and the San Juan County Fire Department are investigating.
