The pandemic forced companies to quickly shift to support a remote workforce and digitally engaged customers. That shift resulted in an increasingly multi-cloud world that has led organizations to establish common ways of understanding cloud cost data to bring financial accountability across clouds.

If your company is dealing with similar challenges, you won't want to miss this year's Technology Business Management (TBM) Conference 2021, hosted virtually October 11-13. We put together a list of cloud-specific sessions to look forward to at this year's event.

Keynotes

1. How to Accelerate Cloud Migration Through Data-Driven Decision Making

Jonathan Desrochers

EVP, Corp. Technology & CISO
Red Ventures

Ryan Broadwell

Global Director ISV Partnerships
AWS

Want to gain better cost transparency from your cloud migration? Listen to this AWS-hosted discussion with Jonathan Desrochers of Red Ventures, a global portfolio of businesses, trusted brands, proprietary technology, and strategic partnerships, including CNET, ZDNet, TV Guide, and others. While transforming their business to a cloud-first strategy, Red Ventures leveraged Apptio solutions on AWS and TBM principles to ensure a clear view of costs, giving them better visibility and metrics to pursue new opportunities in business expansion.

2. From TBM to Cloud FinOps: Powering Modern Delivery at Freddie Mac

Ravi Ohri

With the dramatic pace at which homeownership has accelerated, Freddie Mac had to shift to what it calls Modern Delivery, which includes migrating to the cloud and modernizing many applications. In this session, Ravi Ohri will share how his TBM implementation team supports cloud decision-making across three different cloud environments. He'll also discuss how the company has paired Cloud FinOps with TBM to make smart migration decisions and continuously improve costs, all in support of the company's Modern Delivery transformation.

Todd will talk about the correlation between the amount of tech spending on the size of the TBM office, how TBM is evolving, how TBM offices and FinOps programs are situated, and other observations from this important study.

Live discussion

7. TBM-for-CLOUD: Leveraging TBM to Optimize Public Cloud Consumption/Spending/Value

In this live discussion, participants in small roundtables will share how they are using TBM to optimize the cost and value of their public cloud consumption. Discussion topics could include how to aggregate and analyze consumption and spending, how to create and manage cost-effective subscription agreements (e.g., savings plans, reserved instances), how to identify and measure "shadow" spending on cloud, and how to hold consumers accountable for the costs they drive. Be sure to secure your seat for the virtual live discussion when you register for TBM Conference 2021. There will be discussions hosted on October 11 and 12.
