CEPOL MB meeting kicks off today in Lyon

The 8th Management Board (MB) meeting is taking place today and tomorrow in Lyon, France. It is the first face-to-face MB meeting to be held after the outbreak of the pandemic at the beginning of 2020.

Chaired by Mr. Philippe Durand, Deputy Head of the International Security Cooperation Directorate of the French Ministry of the Interior, the meeting will offer the opportunity for important strategic discussions regarding the agency's activities in the upcoming years. On today's agenda is a strategic Orientation Debate on the findings of CEPOL's 5-year evaluation, which will focus on the future direction for CEPOL and its role in the EU Internal Security Architecture. Also, the Programing principles for the CEPOL Single Programming Document 2024 will be discussed in the afternoon.

Tomorrow, the Management Board will be updated regarding the outcomes of the CEPOL Higher Education Workshop, which took place earlier this year on 17-18 March, as well as the preparations of the CEPOL Research and Science Conference 2022, organised in Vilnius on 8-10 June, in cooperation with Mykolas Romeris University. Also on the agenda is the update on the CEPOL International Cooperation projects, CT INFLOW, EUROMED Police, TOPCOP and WB PaCT, while the MB will also vote regarding the approval of the CEPOL Consolidated Annual Activity Report 2021.
