Knowsley residents have the right to feel safe in their homes and local community. That is why, Knowsley Council works with a range of partners to keep our borough safe.

Through The Knowsley Offer, residents can access a wide range of information, advice and support on community safety.

Knowsley Community Safety Partnership

The Knowsley Community Safety Partnership brings together the key agencies involved in crime prevention and community safety. The aim of the partnership is to ensure that everyone who lives, works in or visits Knowsley will feel and is safe.

The Partnership takes a co-ordinated and proactive approach to tackling all aspects of crime and anti-social behaviour in Knowsley. This includes regular community walkabouts and engagement with residents to ensure partnership resources are tackling the issues that matter to our communities.

Anti-social behaviour

Residents have raised the issue of anti-social behaviour during consultation and engagement sessions, citing it as a real concern for the community.

Knowsley Council has significantly invested in work to tackle anti-social behaviour, such as significant upgrades to the borough's CCTV coverage. f

Thanks to major investment the Council now has access to over 1,000 high-definition CCTV cameras across the Borough. These are monitored 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and operators can link in directly to Merseyside Police's Control Room to report incidents live as they happen.

Importantly, the borough's CCTV network has captured crime and anti-social behaviour - as it happens - leading to the successful arrest and prosecution of offenders.
