UM-Flint's University Center summer renovations begin April 29

The University of Michigan-Flint's Harding S. Mott University Center will begin a planned closure, April 29, for scheduled upgrades and improvements to the building. The summer maintenance will include space renovations on the building's first floor, upgrades to HVAC systems and window replacements throughout the building.

In preparation for the closure, the following offices, housed within UCEN, will be temporarily relocated to different locations across campus beginning April 29:

  • Center for Gender & Sexuality, French Hall 220
  • Educational Opportunity Initiatives, French Hall 335
  • Counseling & Psychological Services and Disability & Accessibility Support Services, French Hall 346
  • Office of the Dean of Students, Office of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion, Student Involvement & Leadership, Intercultural Center, Sustainability Programs, and Student Government, French Hall 444
  • Center for Global Engagement, second floor of Thompson Library (Graduate School area)
  • Conferences & Events, University Pavilion (second floor, Shiawassee Room)

Signage will be placed strategically throughout the various buildings to assist visitors in finding temporary locations.

During the summer, staff within each unit will be housed in these temporary locations for in-person meetings/needs, as well as virtually and by phone. Please visit the appropriate office webpage for the most updated operational information.
