FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Sunday evening's drowning of a four-year-old girl in an above ground swimming pool on Mars Drive appears accidental.
Naketta Lunnar was visiting Nashville with her foster family from Indiana. Two adults and seven children were wrapping up their time outside just before 6 p.m. when one of the children saw that Naketta was at the bottom of the pool, which was four feet deep. An eight-year-old grabbed her and handed her to an adult. CPR was begun and Naketta was rushed to Vanderbilt Children's Hospital where she died shortly after arrival.
