More than 200 recruits of the Southern Military District in Karachay-Cherkessia have started mountain training

More than 200 recruits drafted from the subjects of the Russian Federation on the territory of the Southern and North Caucasus Federal Districts into the motorized rifle (mountain) brigade of the Southern Military District (SMD) have started mountain training in Karachay-Cherkessia.

Experienced instructors of the Southern Military District will teach recruits the basic methods of belay, techniques for overcoming mountain rivers and streams, transporting weapons and ammunition, and organizing crossings.

Also, the young recruits will develop their climbing skills on the climbing wall and mountain obstacle course. The length of training routes for military personnel is up to 250 km with a large height difference - from 600 to 1200 m.
