The Denver Community Corrections Board is seeking candidates!
The deadline for submission of applications and resumes is June 20, 2002, by end of day.

The mission of the Board is to:

Act for the citizens of Denver to ensure public safety; safeguard the rights of Denver residents; provide for the needs of participants who will be supervised in the community corrections program; act as a liaison for the City with other agencies, state agencies and residents with interests in community corrections; establish and enforce criteria for the review, acceptance or rejections of participants referred for placement in the Denver residential programs; advise the Department of Safety on community corrections policy and procedures governing the administration of the Denver Community Corrections program and reviews matters relating to community corrections and when appropriate advise Denver city government on actions to be taken.

The Board is specifically looking for individuals with the following backgrounds:

  • Individuals with experience, knowledge, and interest in criminal justice;
  • Individuals who are a resident of the City and County of Denver;
  • Individual from a public/private victim services agency.

The Board meets on the 3rd Wednesday of each month from 7:30 - 9:00 am at 303 West Colfax Ave.
