Neptune - the Fenja project - project follow-up

The Petroleum Safety Authority Norway (PSA) has carried out an audit of Neptune Energy Norge AS (Neptune) and their project follow-up of the Fenja project.

The audit was conducted on 25 November 2021.

Objective

The objective of the audit is to obtain information on how Neptune is managing the project so as to reduce HSE risk in the start-up and operational phases, by securing the necessary capacity and expertise to verify compliance with the requirements and prerequisites in procedures, system checks, and the actual testing at Njord A and B (host facility).

Result

No non-conformities were identified during the audit.

Two improvement points were observed. These concerned:

  • Better determination of barrier strategies
  • Improved manning requirements for performance of system testing on the host facility

What happens now?

We have asked Neptune for their assessment of the improvement points observed.

The reply deadline is set at 7 February 2022.
