Conference on County Municipal Infrastructure and GAP Program

MEDIA ADVISORY
May 2, 2024

County Executive Brenton Davis invites members of the media to a press conference on Friday May 3, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. to provide updates and insights into the Erie County Municipal Infrastructure and GAP Program.

To date, the Erie County Municipal Infrastructure and GAP has awarded over $3.5 million dollars throughout Erie County, which has brought more than $13 million dollars worth of infrastructure projects to completion.

During the press conference, County Executive Davis will also issue an award of $250,000 to Washington Township to construct an operation and maintenance building at the Edinboro Publicly Owned Treatment Works (POTW). This facility will replace two current structures and provide areas for administrative and operational activities. The new facility will include seven garage bays for the proper storage of all vehicles, equipment, spare parts, and materials used to operate and maintain the POTW and the Borough sewer system. The new building will also include necessary space for an administrative office, an environmental laboratory, an employee training and break area, and three ADA compliant restrooms.

Members of the media are encouraged to attend and learn more about how the Municipal Infrastructure and GAP Program benefit Erie County and its residents.
