CEPOL is looking for a Head of Training and Research Unit (AD10)

The Head of Unit will be responsible for the overall planning, implementation, monitoring and reporting of the operational activities of the Agency allocated to the Training and Research Unit including the related management of the budget and human resources.

Key accountabilities:

• Planning, implementation, monitoring and reporting of all operational activities of the Training and Research Unit (e.g. residential activities, CEPOL Exchange Programme, Electronic learning services, European Master Programme);

• Management of human resources allocated to the Unit;

• Management of budget allocated to the Unit;

• Deputising the Head of Operational Department on request;

• Advise on strategic matters in the management team;

• Representation of CEPOL in European / international fora.

Essential criteria:

• Minimum 5 years experience in law enforcement management function including human resources and budget responsibility;

• Minimum 1 year of experiences in EU or other international organisations or in a function dedicated to international cooperation;

• Experience of at least 3 years in a management function for the planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of law enforcement training activities;

• Experience of at least 3 years in tasks/projects related to the Internal Security Architecture of the European Union and understanding of the structure;

• Experience in quality management and knowledge of the certification/accreditation of learning services/products.

Advantageous criteria:

• Contribution to CEPOL operational activities;

• Experience in design and development of electronic learning systems/products.
