Rather than taking the second obligatory day off, the Frankfurt squad were back on the training ground on Monday to maintain their rhythm ahead of the clash with Arsenal.
With the intensity dialled down a notch, there was a relaxed atmosphere, particularly when the training staff decided to change things up and treat the players to an hour of football tennis. The squad was split into seven teams of three for this exercise, which saw a fully recovered Filip Kostic back in action, as was also the case with Frederik Rönnow who has got over his back problems.
Mijat Gacinovic, Jonathan de Guzman and Sebastian Rode however were missing, while Goncalo Paciencia and Nicolai Müller had individual training sessions away from the group.
