The MCA releases MGN 656: The United Kingdom list of approved ship recycling facilities

Marine Guidance Note (MGN) 656 details the UK List of approved Ship Recycling Facilities as required by the UK ship recycling regulations and referred to in Section 6 of MGN 633 Amendment 1. The UK ship recycling regulations (formally the EU Ship Recycling Regulations) applies to ships that are over 500GT on international journeys. Part of the regulations state that at the end of the ship's life, the ship must be recycled at an approved facility. The MGN 656 lists the approved facilities.
