Gallagher: Biden Administration Building Church of Climate Change with Slave Labor in China

Last night, Rep. Mike Gallagher (R-WI) joined Sean Duffy on Fox News Primetime to discuss the national security consequences of the Biden Administration's failed energy policies. Watch the full interview here, or read the conversation below.

On Biden's climate deal with China:

"President Biden's energy strategy is a geopolitical gift to America's enemies, foremost among them China. It's as if Xi Jinping himself designed a strategy to undermine domestic production in America and undermine American energy independence. And to add insult to injury, and the injury is that a lot of the reserve release is going to be bought by China at a discounted rate, the very people that are constantly lecturing us about climate change, foremost among them John Kerry, are the same that are selling us out to China and in the process abetting genocide. Right now, John Kerry is lobbying against the Uyghur Forced Labor Prevention Act in the House because it would screw up solar panel production. This is crazy. It reveals the hypocrisy at the heart of their entire strategy. And it reveals that the entire foundation that they're building the church of climate change on is being built with slave labor in China."

On OPEC rejecting Biden's call to increase oil production:

"OPEC would rather sell 90 barrels at $90, as opposed to 100 barrels at $50. In the past, when they decided to increase supply, it was as part of an effort to gain market share. Right now, they're not interested in doing that. And I do think it's also fair to say that the swing producers in OPEC, particularly Saudi Arabia, are very skeptical of the Biden Administration's approach to the Middle East because the Biden Administration is intent on reviving the Iran deal, and in the process rehabilitating Iran's role in the global energy market, which would allow them to flood the market with crude. That would be bad for everybody. It undermines the progress we've made in the last four years in the Middle East and I think this is part of the reason why a lot of the key states in OPEC are saying they are not interested in listening to the Biden Administration."
