German Chancellor Merkel to Visit Turkey

Chancellor Angela Merkel of Germany will pay a working visit to Turkey on October 16, 2021 at the invitation of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.

All aspects of the bilateral relations between Turkey and Germany as well as possible steps for the further strengthening of the cooperation between the two countries will be discussed during the talks to be held in Istanbul.

Turkey-European Union relations as well as regional and international issues, Libya, Syria and Afghanistan in particular, will be on the agenda of the talks as well.
