COVID-19 vaccine community clinic to be held at Progressive Missionary Baptist Church Aug. 13

(COLUMBIA, MO)- Columbia/Boone County Public Health and Human Services (PHHS) will have a walk-in COVID-19 vaccination clinic from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. hosted at Progressive Missionary Baptist Church, 702 Banks Ave., Saturday, Aug. 13.

Members of the public are welcome to attend. No appointments are needed.

Residents can receive any dose in a series, including boosters, at the clinic. To check booster eligibility, visit cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/vaccines/booster-shot.html or call 800.232.0233.

Vaccines are free and do not require ID or health insurance. Anyone aged 6 months and older is eligible for Pfizer. Anyone aged 18 and older is eligible for Pfizer, Moderna, or Johnson & Johnson. While there are Moderna vaccines available for individuals ages 6 months to 17 years, PHHS is currently only administering Pfizer vaccines to this age group.

Parental consent forms are required for anyone under the age of 18.

The PHHS clinic, 1005 W. Worley St., will have extended hours for COVID vaccinations on Wednesdays in August from 3:30 to 6 p.m. These clinics are by appointment only: CoMo.gov/health/covid19-vaccine-appointments.

Vaccination opportunities are also available with other local vaccinators. The list of vaccinators and their information can be found by visiting CoMo.gov/CovidVaccine.
