AEM’s John Rozum Named to Meeting Today’s List of 2022 Meetings Trendsetters

AEM Senior Director of Agriculture and Utility Exhibitions and Events John Rozum was recently named to Meeting Today's list of 2022 Meetings Trendsetters.

The list is comprised of 20 meetings and events professionals who have worked diligently to advance the industry during a time of transformative change. Whether their contributions are centered around diversity and inclusion, sustainability, or reimagining and reinventing events, they have shown leadership and embraced innovative approaches toward supporting meetings and events.

"I'm honored to be named one of the Meetings Today trendsetters for 2022 - especially among so many strong leaders on the list. But really, it's all about the show; the exhibitors, the attendees, our partners, our committees and the amazing staff that facilitate meetings and events, as well as make them valuable, can't-miss gatherings," said Rozum. "They are the real trendsetters."

A self-described "event nerd" with more than two decades of experience leading some of the largest trade shows in the United States, Rozum plays a critical role in the planning and execution of industry-leading trade shows such as The Utility Expo, CONEXPO-CON/AGG and The International Fluid Power Exposition (IFPE), as well as Commodity Classic. In addition, he is currently serving as Vice Chairperson of Major American Trade Show Organizers (MATSO) and President Elect of the National Agri-Marketing Association (NAMA).

Most recently, he served as Show Director and helped lead the rebranding and relaunch of The Utility Expo (formerly ICUEE) in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic. Ultimately, The Utility Expo 2021 opened as the first million-plus-net-square foot-show to return from the COVID-19 pandemic in September of that year.

Rozum joined AEM in 2013 as the organization's Attendee Acquisition Manager, before assuming Show Director responsibilities for a variety of AEM-owned trade shows, and is currently Senior Director of Ag & Utility Events and Exhibitions. Prior to joining AEM, he worked in several sales and event management consulting roles, including more than a decade spent spent leading the trade show for the World Dairy Expo in Madison, Wisconsin. Rozum also earned a Bachelor of Science in both Ag Journalism and Poultry Science from the University of Wisconsin.
