AUSTIN, TX - RPT Vice Chair Amy Clark released the following statement on International Women's Day:
'On International Women's Day, the Republican Party of Texas salutes women on the Texas Republican ticket who are running for state office and in judicial, county or district level contests all across the state. We are proud of this strong slate of women who have chosen to run as Republicans.
'Fiscally conservative Republican leadership has created a booming economic climate that fosters small business growth, wage increases, and lower taxes, benefiting Texans across the board. As a result, we rank third in the nation for the number of women-owned businesses, the number of these firms continues to rise, and almost half of the top ten metro areas for women-owned firms are in Texas (Austin, Dallas, Houston & San Antonio).
'I'm proud to be a conservative woman in the great state of Texas, where we know limited government creates unlimited opportunities for Texas women and our families! The Republican Party of Texas looks forward to supporting this slate of candidates and our entire Republican ticket in November so that we can keep Texas free, prosperous, strong, and RED!'
