Southern MD MiG-29 crews conduct air battles in Armenian skies

Crews of the MiG-29 fighters of the aviation military base of the Southern Military District (SMD) in Armenia conducted training air battles.

The pilots performed combat training missions at low air temperatures in adverse weather conditions. As part of pairs and units, the servicemen practiced the elements of complex piloting, search, interception of high-speed targets simulating aircraft of a mock enemy.

The pilots of the Southern Military District carried out electronic launches of guided and unguided missiles at a mock enemy during air battle, forced landing of aircraft at the Erebuni military airfield.

The flights took place by day and at night.
